MEKONG RIVER
The Mekong river is one of the most healthy rivers on earth, but its flow is endangered by the building of huge dams. These also put at risk the biodiversity and the sixty million people who depend on the river for their daily diet.
The Mekong River project is a tribute to the river and the people who depend on the river. The central theme is the mutual dependance between the Mekong and the population around. I want to show the beauty and the fragility of this bond, endangered by the dams and a neoliberal development scheme.
Presented images are made in Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. I continue photographing the Mekong.
